	Remove/install
1	Open engine hood and move to vertical position	Model 170	AR88.40-P-1000G

2	Remove air filter housing (1).	Except model 171.473, 203.076 /276, 209.376 /476 from 24.4.04
		Pull off air filter housing (1) by pulling it upwards and away from the cylinder head covers.
		Installation:  Slightly moisten rubber retainers on the cylinder head covers and the sealing ring of the hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) in the air filter housing (1) with lubricating paste.

3	Detach plug (2) at hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5).
4	Detach vent line (3) from hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5)
5	Unhook vent line (4) from bracket at hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5).
6	Open lock (5) at top of hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5)
7	Use a hook to pull up lock (6) at top of air intake connection (7)	To do this, push hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) as far back as possible, until the lock (6) cannot latch again.
8	Use a screwdriver to press down lock (8) on the air intake connection (7)	To do this, push hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) as far back as possible, until the lock (8) cannot latch again.
9	Remove hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) from intake manifold	Installation:  Check sealing ring (9), replace if required. Check the sealing ring between the air intake connection (7) and the hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5), replace if required. Check the lock, replace lock (5) or air intake connection (7) if required.
10	Unclip pneumatic line for AIR management control system from the brackets at the air intake connection (7)	Model 211.061/065
11	Install in the reverse order
