Flexible System Service (FSS) Indicator

Flexible System Service (FSS) indicator is a wrench symbol that appears in main odometer display area prior to next suggested service. Intervals between suggested service are usually set for either 10,000 miles or 365 days (severe service) or 16,000 miles or 730 days (normal service). FSS display can be recalled for 10 seconds by pressing the dimmer/trip odometer reset knob 2 times. If suggested service interval is passed, wrench symbol preceded by a minus sign will blink for 30 seconds and reminder chime will sound when ignition is turned on.

If engine cannot be started and START LOCKOUT appears in FSS display field, it indicates a fault in start lockout system.
