BAS/ASR Malfunction Indicator Light

Indicator light comes on when ignition is turned on, and goes out when engine is started. If Brake Assist System/Acceleration Slip Regulation (BAS/ASR) malfunction light comes on while engine is running, a malfunction has been detected in either system. Only partial engine output will be available.

If charging voltage drops to less than 10 volts, malfunction indicator light will come on and BAS will be turned off. If charging voltage increases to 10 volts or more, malfunction indicator light will turn off and BAS will be turned on. If Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) malfunctions, BAS and ASR will be turned off and BAS/ASR malfunction indicator light will come on.
