Remove/install brake disc - AR42.10-P-0220A: Notes

MODEL 129, 140, 170, 202, 208, 210

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects. Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
NOTES Notes on repairs to brake system   AH42.00-P-0003-01A 
1 Remove wheels    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary   AP40.10-P-4050Z
2 Release parking brake When removing the brake disks (61) on the rear axle  
INSPECT Checking     
3 Check brake lining thickness and brake disks (61) IMPORTANT Only replace brake pads and brake disks (61) in complete sets if necessary.  
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Check brake lining thickness   AP42.10-P-4253A
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Inspect condition of brake disks   AP42.10-P-4258AM
4 Remove brake disk NOTES Do not detach brake hose, instead attach brake caliper to vehicle so that it is free of tension. Do not kink or tension brake hose, as otherwise it will be damaged.  
  At the front axle:

5 Unscrew locking bolt (64) and remove brake disk (61) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Only replace brake disks (61) in pairs. Lightly grease the seat of the brake disk (61) with long-life grease and replace the locking bolt (64). *BR00.45-Z-1001-06A 
    Models 129, 140, 202: Ensure that the dowel pin or roll pins (63) are properly seated in the brake disk (61).
IMPORTANT Models 202.033/093, 208.374, 210.072 with code 957 E 50 AMG 210.074/274
The left and right brake disks (61) are different. Identification:
AMG A210 421 1912 right side
AMG A210 421 1812 left side		  
    IMPORTANT Model 140 up to 3.9.93
When installing new brake disks on front axle:  ↓		  
    Pull out roll pins on front wheel hub. AR42.10-P-0220-01A 
REFER TO SHOP-MADE TOOLS   Device for withdrawing roll pins on front wheel hub WF58.50-P-4210-02A
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA42.10-P-1001-06A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA42.10-P-1002-06A
