Draining & Filling Cooling System
- Open cooling system cap (2) on coolant expansion reservoir (1). Remove radiator cap as follows:
- Cap with detent: Turn cap carefully as far as the first detent, release the pressure, then unscrew cap.
- For 2-stage and 1-stage caps: Give cap a half turn anti-clockwise, release pressure, remove cap.
- Remove lower engine compartment paneling. See Fig 1

- Drain coolant. See Fig 4
. Observe local regulations on the disposal of coolant.
- Replace coolant, bleed the cooling system Let the engine run. Set the heater to full heat output. See BLEEDING COOLANT SYSTEM
