Sliding/pop-up roof, function - GF77.20-P-4100-02S

The rotation direction of the SR motor (M12m1) of the sliding/pop-up roof (SR) (M12) is determined by the polarity of the actuation voltage from the overhead control panel control module (N70).

The polarity of the actuating voltage is set by means of a two-coil relay (center-zero relay with neutral position). Both sliding/pop-up roof functions are accomplished by the SR motor (M12m1). Starting from the open pop-up roof, rotation of the SR motor (M12m1) in one direction closes the pop-up roof. Continued turning in the same direction beyond the "Sliding/pop-up roof closed" position, causes the sliding roof to open.

Hall sensor 1, SR (M12b1) and Hall sensor 2, SR (M12b2) supply pulses for position measurement which are sent to the overhead control panel control module (N70).
