	Remove/install
1	Dismount ground line to the battery	Do not connect quiescent current retention device. Installation:  After connecting, read out fault memory, encode radio and normalize power windows. Vehicles with stationary heater: adjust time display on stationary heater.	AR54.10-P-0003I
2	Remove cover of right front fuse and relay module (K40/7).
3	Disconnect plug (1, 2, 3) at ME control unit	Release locking arm, separate plug connection.
4	Unplug plug (4, 5) at right front fuse and relay module.
5	Dismount ground line of power steering pump (W30/2)
6	Dismount lines in terminal block and fuse box of terminal 30Z (X4/22) at the outer body	Location of terminal block: Right outer transmission tunnel at underfloor. Detach heat shield of line and fold open protective cap.
7	Remove heat shield and dismount central connector (X22/2) at automatic transmission
8	Dismount ground transmission (W49)	Dismount at underfloor (propeller shaft tunnel).
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase	When the work is complete stored faults must be worked on in the diagnostic trouble code memories and erased. ↓
		Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, interrogate fault memory	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
