Removal & Installation (S Class)
- Fold back trunk cover to access battery. Connect quiescent current retention unit across battery terminals. Disconnect negative battery cable. Pull out parking brake release lever. Remove light module cover screws.
- Remove light module with cover from instrument panel. Pull on parking brake release lever until cover swings out of instrument panel. Disconnect electrical connector. Unhook pull cable on parking brake release lever.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. If power supply was interrupted during procedure, it will be necessary to code radio, set clock, reactivate steering angle sensor, synchronize power window, synchronize sliding/pop-up roof and synchronize jacket tube module.
