Removal & Installation (CL & S Class)
- Fold back trunk cover to access battery. Connect quiescent current retention unit across battery terminals. Disconnect negative battery cable. Move steering column adjustment completely out and downward.
- Orient tapered side of Removal Keys (000 833 03 61) to face center of instrument cluster and push removal keys in slots located at lower left and lower right of instrument cluster. See Fig 1. Pull out instrument cluster. Disconnect electrical connector.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. If power supply was interrupted during procedure, it will be necessary to code radio, set clock, reactivate steering angle sensor, synchronize power window, synchronize sliding/pop-up roof and synchronize jacket tube module.
