Brake system - inspect fluid level - AP42.10-P-4210M

MODEL 220.175 /176 /178 with CODE (Z07) Top protection 

Using Model 463 as an example

INSPECT Check     
DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes. Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid. AS42.50-Z-0001-01A
1 Open engine hood and move to vertical position    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Opening engine hood, moving to upright position and closing   AR88.40-P-1000M
2 Switch off ignition IMPORTANT Vehicles with Keyless-Go Code 889: press Start/Stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off.  
3 Press the brake pedal approx. 30 times IMPORTANT Necessary to reduce the pressure in the storage system.  
4 Check brake fluid level in the tandem master brake cylinder chamber (11a) IMPORTANT Depending on the condition of the brakes the fill level can fluctuate between the "MIN" and "MAX" mark. However the fill level must be on the "MAX" mark when the brake linings are new.
IMPORTANT If the fill level is below the "Min" mark, correct the fill level corresponding to the condition of the brakes.
 
5 Check brake fluid level in booster chamber (11b) IMPORTANT Fill up the booster chamber (11b) up to the "MAX" mark The fluid level may drop below the "MIN" mark after the ignition is switched on as the hydraulic system is filled.
