Installing DVD player - AZ82.60-P-0005-01MA

MODEL 220 as of 1.9.02

Install enclosed plastic shell (11) for removed stowage compartment in glove compartment cover.

Drill 30 mm dia. hole for lead passage on right rear of glove compartment according to dimensions specified in figure.

3.1 Make ø 30 mm ventilation hole on left rear side of glove compartment.
Ventilation hole only required for DVD players with fan.

4 Fasten attached bracket (12) using two screws M5x10 mm each at the side of the DVD player (A40/4).
The screws pre-mounted on the upper side of the bracket (12) have different lengths, right M6x15 mm and left M6x20 mm, as the installation space of the glove compartment decreases to the right.

5 Drill the front holes to ø 6.5 mm in accordance with the dimensions shown in the figure in the upper side of the glove compartment.

6 Align studs on bracket (12) of DVD player (A40/4) in longitudinal and transverse directions.
7 Mark holes for rear studs (DVD player serves as template) and drill to ø 6.5 mm.

8 Place DVD player (A40/4) into glove compartment and fasten in place using four nuts and a shim with snap ring each.
9 Apply covering (13) for locating sample onto expansion anchor (see arrows), if necessary re-adjust DVD player (A40/4) with bracket.

10 Connect 4-pin coupling of wiring harness for DVD player (10).
11 Connect infrared sensor line (11) to DVD player (A40/4).
12 Connect attached extension cable for TV signals (12a) to match colors on cinch sockets.
13 Tie back the two connecting lines with the gray (gr) and black (sw) coupling and fasten to glove compartment using felt strap.
They are no longer required.
