Information on measuring tire tread depth - AH40.10-P-0006-01T

The brake pad gauge (1) is suitable for measuring the:

IMPORTANT The symbols and arrows identify which side of the brake pad gauge (1) should be used for the corresponding measurement.

Information for measuring tire tread depth: 

NOTES Bring the slide (2) into contact with the driver (3) before each measurement, otherwise there will be measurement errors.

Mount brake pad gauge (1) on two profile segments at the point of the most severe tire wear.

Push measuring drift (4) in the tread groove until it contacts the groove bottom.

IMPORTANT The gauge pin (4) must not be resting on the tire-wear indicator.

Remove brake pad gauge (1) to read off the measured value.
