		Installation:  Before fastening the jacket tube to the instrument panel, plug in steering angle sensor and carry out function check using STAR DIAGNOSIS.

2	Unscrew bolt (2) and remove coupling (3) from the steering shaft	Installation:  Replace bolt (2) and nut (4). Pay attention to correct installation position of coupling (3).

3	Remove disk spring (5).	Installation:  Ensure that the disk spring is installed correctly: The side of the disk spring which is arched inwards must point towards the rotor.
4	Remove rotor (6) from steering angle sensor (N49)	Installation:  Exchange rotor (6). Press in coupling using press (8) and ensure that there is an even gap over the entire circumference between the rotor and steering angle sensor.

5	Install in the reverse order
6	Carry out test drive, check function using STAR DIAGNOSIS and check straight-ahead position of the steering wheel	When driving straight ahead with correct steering wheel position, the steering angle should be ± 7.5° from 0.
