Except model 202 up to 30.6.93 Store airbag unit with expulsion area on top, do not subject to temperatures above 100 °C. 

Interrupt power supply when working on such units 

Model 202 up to 30.6.93 Store airbag units with discharge opening facing upwards, do not subject to temperatures exceeding 100 °C, interrupt any current supply to the units prior to working on them, and unplug test connector/plug connector from airbag (AB) with emergency tensioning retractor (X11/13)

Using the deployment device 

1. Plug the 2-pin plug connector (8) into the unit to be scrapped.
2. Dial the rotary switch (4) to position "1".
3. Press the battery control pressure switch (2) and deployment pressure switch (3) simultaneously.

   Keep a distance of 10 m for safety.

   After a successful deployment, the deployment indicator lamp (5) flashes.
