6		Faults (actuation line discontinuity or short circuit, short circuit in valve) are recognized by the EGS control unit and reported to the ME control unit via the CAN data bus. Storage of faults and actuation of the CHECK ENGINE indicator lamp (MIL) are undertaken by the ME control unit. Also read out the EGS fault memory.
