5	Fault setting conditions  Checking duration	For ignition ON, the hot film MAF sensor signal must be 0.98 to 1.03 V. Plausibility : At partial load the air mass must not deviate by more than ±30% from the reference value. The reference value is calculated from the throttle valve angle, engine speed, intake air temperature, barometric pressure and intake manifold absolute pressure. About 5 seconds per limit value
6	Check prerequisites	no cylinder-selective inertia fuel cut-off active ESP not active engine speed greater than 400 rpm no fault in throttle valve actual value potentiometer change in engine load less than 20 to 70% battery voltage less than approx. 15.6 V.
7		In case of plausibility faults check the grid on the hot-film MAF for dirt. A further causes could be a high ohm shunt (e.g. in a connector).
