7		The gear ratios are calculated from the following parameters: rpm signal n2, rpm signal n3 and output shaft rpm (determined from the rear wheel speed). Faults are detected by the EGS control unit and sent via the CAN data bus to the ME control unit. Storage of faults and actuation of the CHECK ENGINE indicator lamp (MIL) are undertaken by the ME control unit. Also read out the EGS fault memory.
