| 6 | Check prerequisites |
|
| 7 | Check procedure | If the shift operation expires, the ETC control unit detects the selected gear from the gear ratio. If the gear ratio lies outside of the tolerance or the gear detection is implausible, after approx. 0.5 s, the modulating pressure is set to its maximum value. If the gear ratio remains outside of the tolerance or the gear detection is implausible, a fault is detected after approx. 1 s. |
| 8 | The gear ratios are calculated from the following variables: speed signal n2, speed signal n3 and output shaft speed (determined via rear wheel speed). Faults are detected by the ETC control unit and sent via the CAN data bus to the ME-SFI engine control unit. Fault storage and actuation of the CHECK ENGINE (MIL) indicator lamp is carried out by the ME-SFI control unit. Additionally read out ETC fault memory. |
