	Activation of the engine diagnosis indicator lamp (EURO3/4) or CHECK ENGINE (MIL) malfunction indicator lamp		Following two successive driving cycles with faults

5	Fault setting conditions		Voltage lower than 2.5 V
	Limit values		Current higher than 4.2 A
		Short circuit to ground	No voltage at air injection relay
		Short-circuit to +12 V	Approx. 4 to 8 V at output of ME-SFI control unit under no load.
		Line interruption
6	Check prerequisites		Battery voltage between 8 and 17.1 V
7			Actuation is checked for a line interruption and short-circuit (to ground or battery voltage). A short circuit to ground and a line interruption are detected when the output stages are locked, whilst a short-circuit to battery voltage is detected when the output stages are conducting. The output stage is immediately no longer activated when a fault arises.
