5	Fault setting conditions	The engine torque (actual value) determined on the basis of the air mass (signal from the hot film MAF sensor) does not deviate from the target value by more than permissible tolerance.
6	Check prerequisites	Battery voltage between 8 and 17 V
7		For all engine load and speed ranges, the throttle valve opening can be restricted and thus the engine torque, by the ME-SFI control unit. Possible causes of fault: Deviation of signal from hot film MAF sensor (check part no.) Exhaust gas recirculation ON/OFF and level of exhaust gas recirculation rate Cylinder shutoff ON/OFF intake air temperature Ambient pressure Loading of the activated charcoal filter Anti-knock control of ignition system Self-adaptation value of mixture formation Safety fuel shutoff due to fault in throttle valve actuator, actual value potentiometer or drive Incorrect synchronization at start.
