Fastening auxiliary fuel tank on longitudinal frame member Risk of explosion risk of from ignition, risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury from skin and eye contact with fuel. - AR47.10-P-0010-08GH

No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel. 

  1. Detach shield (1s) from rear axle carrier and unclip retaining strap for fuel hose.
  2. Disconnect fuel hose (116c) from fuel tank. Collect remaining fuel.

  3. Unscrew shield (105h) above rear muffler (do not remove).

  4. Slacken bolts (116a) in retaining straps for auxiliary fuel tank and remove from bracket.
  5. Turn retaining straps for auxiliary fuel tank (116b) through 90° using suitable pliers and remove through the slot.

  6. Fasten auxiliary fuel tank to longitudinal frame member using a commercially available ratchet tie strap (arrow). Pass one strap through in front of the fuel hose (detail).
  7. Install in the reverse order.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that the retaining straps and fuel hoses are properly seated.
