	Risk of injury  to fingers being jammed or squeezed  when removing and installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/tailgate or sliding roof.	When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Pull lever (1) in left side of footwell to unlock the engine hood (2)	Engine hood jumps open; lift engine hood slightly if necessary.
2	Pull handle (3) out of radiator grille as far as the stop and open engine hood	Do not lift with handle. The windshield wiper arms must not be folded forward.
3	Move engine hood with support rod (4) to maintenance position (A).
4	Position engine hood (2) vertically and position in vertical position (B) with support rod.
5	Unhook support rod (4) from engine hood and install in mount at upper frame cross member.	Engine hood can fall down.
6	Close engine hood (2)	Place your hands only on the front edges of the hood.
7	Pull engine hood firmly upwards to check the latching function of the engine hood lock
