Instrument Cluster
- Disconnect battery negative cable. Airbags will be disabled. Turn front wheels to straight-ahead position. Remove key and allow steering to lock.
- Remove 2 Torx head screws from each side of steering wheel. Hold driver's side air bag module when removing last screw. Remove driver's side air bag module from steering wheel enough to access driver's side air bag module squib connector. Disconnect driver's side air bag module squib connector. Remove module from vehicle. Place module away from work area with pad facing up.
- Remove steering wheel bolt. Mark steering wheel-to-steering column shaft position to aid in reassembly. Disconnect wiring connectors from steering wheel. Remove steering wheel. Remove upper and lower steering column covers. Remove left and right covers.
- Lift clips at lower edge of instrument cluster trim. See Fig 1
. Remove trim downward. Remove bolts at lower edge of instrument cluster and remove expanding clips from top retainers.
- Pull instrument cluster forward and disconnect electrical connectors. Remove instrument cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure clips on instrument cluster trim engage with "click" sound. Tighten steering wheel bolt to 60 ft. lbs. (80 N.m). Tighten airbag Torx head bolts to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m).
