Brake Warning Light

Indicator light comes on when ignition is turned on, and goes out when engine is started. Brake warning light should go out when engine is running. If brake warning light comes on when engine is running, this indicates parking brake is set (engine running), fluid in brake fluid reservoir is low (engine running and parking brake released), or Electronic Brake Proportioning (EBP) system malfunction. Inspect brake system immediately.
