  1. Cut cutout (22) for wiring harness at bottom edge of wheelhouse paneling (1) on both sides at outer front edge

    IMPORTANT An injection molding seam marks the position of the cutout (22).

  2. Route wiring harness (2) for running board through cutout and behind wheelhouse paneling

  3. Remove rear grommets (3) in vehicle floor.
  4. Cut open unused opening in left  grommet and widen
  5. Only if xenon headlamp is installed 

    1. Cut open long passage and widen
    2. Only if xenon headlamp is installed 

    3. Cut open unused opening in right grommet and widen
  6. Route wiring harness (2) through grommets
  7. Install grommets (3) and seal if necessary.
  8. Fasten wiring harness to left  side of tie strap (5) on present wiring harness (4).
  9. Fasten clip (5) with tie strap (6) to right  wiring harness and insert into present hole in frame

  10. Disconnect connector (7) from footwell illumination (8) on right 
  11. Disconnect blue  cable (9) at a distance of 40 mm from the connector and strip insulation from ends
  12. Strip insulation from end of the violet  cable (10) of wiring harness for running board SPECIAL TOOL l and twist with the two ends of the blue cable (9) from the footwell lamp.
  13. Slide solder connector (11) onto twisted cable and heat with heat gun COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS until solder ring melts
  14. Connect connector (7) to footwell lamp (8)
  15. Only on vehicles with video system 

    1. Insert red relay (12) for wiring harness in location 7 in fuse and relay module in right front footwell (F2)

    2. Only on vehicles with video system 

    3. Remove cable and fuse from red  relay (12) and install in free locations of present red  relay in location 7 of fuse and relay module in right front footwell (F2).
  16. Insert fuse 7.5 A(13) in free location of fuse and relay module in right front footwell (F2) at top
  17. Insert black  relay (14) into location 9 in fuse and relay module
  18. IMPORTANT Only if relay is not yet present.

  19. Connect ground cable (15) to running board on ground connection (31) of fuse and relay module.
  20. Fasten wiring harness and fuse (16) to fuse and relay module in right front footwell (F2) and vehicle wiring harness with tie strap.
  21. Route wiring harness (17) from fuse and relay module in right footwell, in channel of door sill molding to 40 % bench seat

  22. Remove bracket for cargo retainers (18)
  23. Loosen bolts from outer seat belts (19)
  24. Pull rubber door seal (20) of C-pillar paneling toward front.
  25. Route wiring harness to front edge of right  C-pillar paneling.
  26. Install 12 V /110 V voltage converter (21) in hollow cavity behind right C-pillar
  27. Route wiring harness (17) to grommet (3) and connect connectors

  28. Route wiring harness below floor covering to left side together with second voltage converter (21)
  29. Connect wiring harness connector with connector for running board wiring harness to grommet (3)
  30. Install voltage converter (21) and remaining cable in hollow cavity behind right  C-pillar
