Remove/install release handle for exterior spare wheel mount - AR88.30-P-1001-01GH

    Removal: 

  1. Press housing (1) out of spare wheel mount/spare wheel (2) with assembly wedge.
  2. Turn release handle (3) clockwise to 3 o'clock position.
  3. Remove release handle and housing.

    IMPORTANT Guide release handle past release lever on inside of spare wheel mount/spare wheel.

    4. Installation: 

  4. Assemble housing (1) and insert release handle (3) into housing (1) in 3 o'clock position.

  5. Insert release handle with housing into spare wheel mount/spare wheel.

    IMPORTANT Opening in housing should point downward. Position housing at bottom first.

  6. Turn release handle counterclockwise upward to vertical position.

    IMPORTANT Guide release handle below release lever on inside of spare wheel mount/spare wheel.

  7. Position release handle with housing further to rear in spare wheel mount/spare wheel.

    IMPORTANT Do not yet allow housing to arrest in spare wheel mount/spare wheel. Ensure that release handle is positioned properly in recess on rear of lock.

  8. Check release function of lock with release handle.
  9. Insert housing completely into spare wheel mount/spare wheel until it catches.
