Electronic Stability Program/Electronic Traction System (Esp/ETS) Warning Light
CAUTION:
If vehicle is towed with front axle raised, ignition must be turned off or ESP/ETS will engage and apply rear brakes.
ESP enhances directional control and reduces driving wheel spin. ESP counteracts oversteer or understeer by applying brake to appropriate wheel to create counterpointing vehicle movement. Four Wheel ETS (4-ETS) improves traction under slippery road conditions. Brake is applied to spinning wheel allowing power to be transferred to wheel(s) with traction.
When ESP and/or ETS is in operation, ESP/ETS warning light will flash. As a bulb check, indicator light comes on when ignition is turned on, and goes out when engine is started.
