Preparing test without quiescent current retention device - AR54.10-P-1030-02GH

  1. Loosen nut on negative battery terminal of battery.

    IMPORTANT Do not disconnect the negative battery terminal.

  2. Prepare Multimeter (2) for the test, using the electrical connection set.
  3. Connect measuring cable, positive (+) to splash wall ground point (W16/4).
  4. Switch on Multimeter (measuring range in amperes).
  5. Carefully pull up negative battery terminal (1) on the battery while at the same time connecting the measuring cable, negative (-) under the battery terminal on the negative pole.

    IMPORTANT Do not interrupt the circuit when disconnecting the negative battery terminal as any existing faults will be erased. Only remove the negative battery terminal completely, after the Multimeter measuring cable is connected securely to the negative pole.

  6. Route Multimeter (2) with measuring cable (6) to the right out of the engine compartment.
  7. Close engine hood.
