| Engine complaints can occur due to moisture getting into position sensor connector (L5, 2-pin). | ||
| 1 Disconnect connector from crankshaft position sensor (L5). | ||
| 2 Open insulating tubing. |
||
| 3 Cut wires and strip off insulation. | ||
| 4 Connect ends of wires from engine wiring harness with ends of wires from repair wiring harness. |
||
| 5 Seal wiring harness with insulating tape. | ||
| 6 Check for proper contact at crankshaft position sensor (L5). | ||
7.1 Blow out contacts with compressed air. |
||
8.1 Replace crankshaft position sensor (L5). |
