INSPECT Inspect    
DANGER Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A 
SPECIAL TOOL Notes on battery All models AH54.10-P-0001-01A 
1 Check fluid level of battery IMPORTANT Not with mat battery. The mat battery is maintenance free. Identification of mat battery: Black housing, imprint VRLA.
IMPORTANT If the fluid level is not visible from outside: ↓
Unscrew plugs on battery cells

2 Unscrew plugs on battery cells IMPORTANT Not with mat battery. The mat battery is maintenance free. Identification of mat battery Black housing, imprint VRLA.  
3 Correct fluid level of battery IMPORTANT Not with mat battery. The mat battery is maintenance free. Identification of mat battery Black housing, imprint VRLA.
IMPORTANT The battery cells are correctly filled if the electrolyte is approx. 12-15 mm above the plates or extends up to the visible marking.
 
4 Screw in plugs
