Open bleed screw on brake caliper (1) and allow approx. 80 cm³ of brake fluid to drain out free of bubbles, bleeding pressure 2 bar.
Repeat bleeding operation at brake calipers 2, 3, 4, allowing approx. 80 cm³ of brake fluid to flow out free of bubbles at each brake caliper.
Close bleed screw on brake caliper (1).

Bleed supply and return lines of ASR unit using hand-held tester (HHT)

This work must only be performed when the reservoir has been emptied or if work was performed on the master brake cylinder, charging pump, hydraulic unit and connecting lines.
Connect hand-held tester (087) with test cable (multiplexer) (094) to datalink connector (X11/4).
Launch bleeding routine (pay attention to instructions on display).

After bleeding, the brake fluid must flow without foaming and free of bubbles through the return line (10b) into the reservoir.

If there are bubbles or foam, wait 2 minutes and then repeat the bleeding operation. If necessary, check and tighten hydraulic connections.

Read out fault memory and erase
Switch off ignition.

The system is only operational after this procedure.
