MODEL 208 as of 1.8.99, 210 as of 1.7.99

Function prerequisite:

Function:

NOTE: One cable of the fanfare horns (H2) is always routed to ground, actuation therefore takes place by switching to terminal 30 (via K40/2k6).

The coil of the FAN relay (K40/2k6) is permanently connected to terminal 15R and when the fanfare horns (H2) are operated the other connection is routed to ground via the driver-side signal-acquisition and actuation control module (N10/1).

IMPORTANTFanfare horns pushbuttons (S110s5, S111s5)

The four fanfare horn pushbuttons are located on a printed-circuit board under the impact absorber of the multifunction steering wheel. This ensures that the fanfare horns can be triggered at any point on the impact absorber. The two right and two left buttons are each connected in parallel. Together with the buttons of the left and right pushbutton switch group on multifunction steering wheel (S110, S111) they are  read in voltage coded by instrument cluster (A1)  .

Also refer to the relevant wiring diagrams.
