The voice control module (A35/10a1) controls the following functions:

• It controls the telephone function with the aid of the interactive dialog
• Display of the selected number at the telephone handset
• Speaker switchover to enable the voice output through the hands-free system
• Muting of the radio (A2)
• Ambient noise-dependent volume control for voice output in 3 stages.
• External interface to the VCS switch (S93/2) and the handsfree system microphone (B25)
