Check pressure in air-suspension system - SI32.22-P-0001-01A
Experience has shown that when the compressor is damaged the entire system is immediately depressurized.
If e.g. a pressure line is damaged, then pressure is lost only in the affected circuit.
- Check whether the system is under pressure.
- Residual pressure is to be fully blown-off via the DAS.
The system still has a residual compressor pressure of approx. 2 to 3 bar, which must also be blown off.
- Uncover enough of the compressor to work on.
- Open the line from the compressor to the valve block (see Fig 1).
- Bleed the individual circuits (RF/LF/RR/LR) again with DAS.
Here, in intact suspension strut residual-pressure valves no more than a brief hissing is heard (line volume flow relieved).
If, when relieving pressure in the individual circuits, a long sustained hissing is heard this indicates a leak in the residual pressure valve of the respective suspension strut (in addition to this the suspension strut air quantity also escapes).
In this case bleeding should be repeated at brief intervals until the hissing stops completely!
