	Remove/install
	Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
1	Disconnect battery ground line	Do not connect quiescent current retention unit!	AR54.10-P-0003I

2	Remove air pump (5)		AR14.30-P-7251L
3	Drain coolant		AR20.00-P-1142HA
4	Remove fan shroud		AR20.40-P-6800AC
5	Remove engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105M
6	Remove poly-V belt (4)		AR13.22-P-1202L
7	Unbolt nut for line circuit 30 (1) and remove line		*BA15.40-P-1001-01A
8	Release connector for line circuit 61 (2) and detach.
9	Dismount line bracket (3)
10	Dismount lower coolant hose at coolant pump (6).
11	Unscrew Bolt, alternator (7).		*BA15.40-P-1007-01A
12	Dismount coolant hose from connection (8) at alternator (G2)
13	Dismount line bracket for coolant hose (9).	Installation:  Fasten line bracket for coolant hose (9) before installing alternator at alternator.
14	Dismount bracket of transmission oil line (11)
15	Dismount bracket of oil dipstick (10) from alternator.
16	Unscrew bolts of alternator (12, 3 each)		*BA15.40-P-1007-01A
17	Remove coolant expansion reservoir
18	Remove washer fluid reservoir of windshield washer system		AR82.35-P-6000M
19	Slacken both engine mounts at front axle carrier		*BA22.10-P-1001-01L
20	Lift engine	It is sufficient to move engine to side, in order to achieve better accessibility to alternator.
21	Lift Alternator (G2) up and out
22	Replace sealing ring for flange (13)
23	Install in the reverse sequence
24	Carry out functional test
25	Render electrical system operational	Perform basic programming (normalize windows and sliding roof, etc.).
