REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates below the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects. Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts All models AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1 Unscrew nut (11/7) and remove bracket (11/8) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Self-locking nut, muffler brace to rear muffler *BA49.10-P-1015-01A 
2 Loosen the pipe clamp (9c) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, rear muffler clamp to center muffler *BA49.10-P-1013-01A 
3 Detach and remove the right rear muffler (3a) from the exhaust rubber mounts IMPORTANTInstallation:  Coat exhaust rubber mount with liquid lubricant for the purpose of easier installation.
Loosely bolt together left rear muffler (3a) and right rear muffler (3b) with bracket (11/8) and nut (11/7) Align right rear muffler (3b) and Bolt together with pipe clamp (9c).		  
    Lubricant *BR00.45-Z-1002-06A 
4 Open flange connection at rear of underfloor catalytic converter (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Self-locking nut,, rear muffler flange connection to three way catalytic converter *BA49.10-P-1014-01A 
5 Detach and remove the left rear muffler (3a) from the exhaust rubber mounts IMPORTANTInstallation:  Coat exhaust rubber mount with liquid lubricant for the purpose of easier installation.  
    Lubricant *BR00.45-Z-1002-06A 
INSPECT Checking     
6 Check exhaust rubber mount IMPORTANT Check for wear, replace if required:  
7 Inspect installation position and clearance of exhaust system IMPORTANT The exhaust system must be installed free of stress.  
8 Install in the reverse order    
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the running engine Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.		  
9 Conduct engine test run and inspect exhaust system for leaks
