Instrument Panels - C43, C230 & C280: Description

WARNING: Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS - C, CLK & SLK CLASS article. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.

Instrument cluster uses analog type gauges which include: speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, and coolant temperature gauge. Instrument cluster LCDs include: outside temperature display, main odometer, trip odometer, gear range selector, clock and Flexible Service System (FSS) indicator. Warning and indicator lights include: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), Brake Assist System/Electronic Stability Program (BAS/ESP), Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), telescopic steering column not locked, fasten seatbelt reminder, low windshield and headlight washer fluid, low engine coolant level, low engine oil level, brake pad wear indicator, exterior light failure, high beam headlight on, charging system, brake fluid low/parking brake set, CHECK ENGINE, low fuel/fuel cap placement warning and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) warning.
