Adjusting vehicle level by altering springs or rubber spring mount - AR40.20-P-0300-01A
Models 129, 140, 202 up to 12/95
Altering the height "a" of the rubber mount alters the vehicle level by approx. 9 mm (ca. 1, 3°).
There are 4 (front axle) or 3 (rear axle) rubber mounts available for this
- 1 lug (s) = height of rubber mount "a" of 8 mm
- 2 lug (s) = height of rubber mount "a" of 13 mm
- 3 lug (s) = height of rubber mount "a" of 18 mm
- 4 lug(s) = height of rubber mount "a" of 23 mm (front axle only)
If it is not possible to adjust the vehicle level with rubber mounts, the assignment of the spring and rubber mounts must be redetermined using the parts microfilm.
NOTE:
- If there are complaints about the level, always replace springs in pairs.
- Difference in level between the left and right side of the vehicle max. 9 mm.
- After altering the springs or spring/rubber mount, check and correct headlamp setting.
