	Remove
	Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1	Remove front wheels
	Remove and install wheels		AP40.10-P-4050Z
	Check
2	Attach dial indicator (022) with dial indicator holder (015) to bottom of transverse control arm (4) and pre-tighten	The feeler must be set firmly up against the face of the supporting joint dome cap (7) with an indicating pre-tightening of 3 mm.

3	Determine the play in the supporting joint (7)	The steering angle must not be changed during the measurement otherwise measurement errors may occur. Determine the amount of play in the supporting joint (7) through vertical pulling and pushing of the wheel hub. If measurement yields a play ≥ 0.4 mm the supporting joint (7) must be replaced, refer to: ↓
		Install new supporting joint	AR33.20-P-0440B
4	Repeat measuring procedure on the other vehicle side
	Install
5	Fit front wheels
	Remove and install wheels		AP40.10-P-4050Z
