	Remove/install
	Risk of explosion  caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.	Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged. 1.1	Discharge air conditioning system	Except with model 461.302/304/332/334/342/344/345/346 Installation:  evacuate, clean, refill and check for proper operation and tightness.	AR83.30-P-1760A
1.2	Remove fluid tank	Only on model 461.302/304/332/334/342/344/345/346	AR83.30-P-6520GM
2	Push driver seat backwards
3	Remove left cover below dashboard	Only for model 463	AR68.10-P-1500D
4	Remove cover (1) at expansion valve (2)
5	Unscrew nut (3) to refrigerant line bracket (4) at expansion valve (2)	Pull refrigerant lines out of expansion valve (2).

6	Unscrew Allen screws (5) at the expansion valve (2)	Do not kink or damage the temperature switch lead.
		Installation:  Replace gaskets on expansion valve (2).

7	Remove expansion valve (2)	Installation:  Replace O-rings and coat with refrigerant oil. Replace self-adhesive insulating mat at expansion valve (2).
8	Replace fluid reservoir	Model 463	AR83.30-P-6520GA

9	Install in the reverse order
10	Switch on the air conditioner and allow the engine to idle for roughly 4 minutes.	Set temperature and blower switches for maximum cooling.
11	Check function of air conditioning	The air outlet temperature at the center vent should not drop below +5°C.
12	Inspect the refrigeration circuit for leaks	See GOTIS for leak detector http://gotis.aftersales.daimlerchrysler.com
