Open trunk lid |

Unscrew screws (4) on trunk lid lock |
|

| 3 |
Remove trunk lid lock (1) from trunk lid |
|

Pull CL line (5) off of trunk lid lock and disconnect connector (6) |

Separate latch housing (3) from lock cylinder housing (2) by lifting arrest (arrow) and extending lock cylinder housing (2) |

Remove covering on rear center section |
|
|
| 7 |
Unscrew screws (9) and remove striker eye (8) |
|
|
|
Installation |
|
|
| 8 |
Assemble latch housing (3) and lock cylinder housing (2) |
Arrest (arrow) must engage |

Attach CL line (5) to CL element for trunk lid lock and connect connector for remote trunk release (6) |

| 10 |
Position trunk lid lock (1) in trunk lid |
Ensure that seal (7) is seated correctly, install cutout downward, replace seal if damaged |

Adjustment |

| 11 |
Align trunk lid lock |
Screw in screws (4), tighten only lightly and align trunk lid lock so that lock cylinder housing (2) is positioned in the center of the seal (7) and that the edge of the lock housing (3) is parallel to the trunk lid. |

Tighten screws (4) |
Screw on trunk lid lock |

Insert striker eye (8) |

| 14 |
Align striker eye (8) horizontally |
Screw in screws (9), tighten only lightly and align striker eye (8) to the center of the trunk lid lock. |

Align striker eye (8) vertically |
Adjust height of striker eye (8) so that the edges of the trunk lid and fender are flush and the trunk lid can be locked easily. |

Tighten screws (9) |
