| 1 | Check ease of operation and condition of accelerator control lever, linkage and bowden cable (32). | Replace parts, if necessary. | |

| 2 | Wide open throttle With engine switched off, depress accelerator (24) until relay lever (31/1) is resting against wide open throttle stop (b). |
Hand-Held Tester must indicate 100 %. See Diagnosis Manual Diesel Engine Volume 1.1 Index A2/A3. Turn adjusting screw (32/3) until relay lever (31/1) has reached wide open throttle stop (b). |

| 3 | Closed throttle position The relay lever (31/1) must be resting against closed throttle stop (a). |

| 4 | Control pressure bowden cable Alter position of connecting rod (31/4) by turning the hexagon bolt (31/5) so that the tips of the bell crank (31/7) and of the drag lever (31/6) are opposite each other. |

| 5 | Vacuum control valve Detach bowden cable (32) at the relay lever (31/1) by pressing off the ball head. Slacken nuts (65/1). Press relay lever (31/1) onto wide open throttle stop. |
Turn vacuum control valve (65) clockwise until a resistance is felt. Tighten nuts (65/1) in this position. |
