Level Control System
NOTE:
Ignition should be turned off for at least 60 seconds before performing this operation or a fault code will be stored in Adaptive Damping System (ADS) system memory.
NOTE:
If it takes more than 5 minutes to bleed system, control module will shut pump off for 5 minutes (overload protection).
CAUTION:
DO NOT allow level control system reservoir to run low on fluid or hydraulic pump will be damaged.
- To refill hydraulic system, shock absorbers must be installed in vehicle. Fill level control system reservoir with NEW hydraulic fluid or clean hydraulic fluid previously drained from system. Level control system reservoir is located in engine compartment.
- Turn level adjustment switch to ON position. Ensure vehicle is sitting on all 4 wheels with front wheels straight. Start and run engine at approximately 2500 RPM for approximately 2 minutes, keeping level control system reservoir full at all times.
- Turn level adjustment switch to LOCK position. Ensure ADS system indicator light goes out. Shut engine off. Ensure level control reservoir is full. Test drive vehicle on smooth level road, while switching level adjustment switch though all position except LOCK position. After test drive, check and adjust oil level in level control reservoir.
