| 1 | Remove engine compartment paneling | AR61.20-P-1105AB | |
| 2 | Unscrew bolts (5) of the engine mount (3) at the front axle carrier | *BA22.10-P-1001-01L | |
| 3 | Remove engine trim panel | Pull the engine cover vertically upwards and detach it from the cylinder head covers. |

| 4 | Disconnect/connect battery's ground cable | Installation: After connecting, read fault memory, encode radio and normalize power windows. Vehicles with stationary heater: adjust time display on stationary heater. |

| 8 | Raise engine | Do not over-tension coolant hoses! |

| 10 | Remove shields (4) | Installation: The recesses in the shields must be located in the anti-twist locks of the engine supports. |

| Environmental protection regulations for disposal of engine mounts | Dispose engine mounts into mixed scrap. | ||
| 12 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 13 | Read out fault memory and erase | Stored faults which can result from cables being disconnected or from simulation during removal and installation or test work, have to be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work. ↓ |
