Removing and installing electronic ignition/starter switch control module - AR80.57-P-1000K

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation     
1 Remove bottom section of instrument panel (on driver-side)   AR68.10-P-1505K
2 Screw off round cover plate (1) with special tool SPECIAL TOOL Fig 2
3 Pull electronic ignition switch control module (N73) toward rear out of cover below left side of instrument panel    
4 Remove shift lock control cable (2) on electronic ignition switch control module (N73) IMPORTANT only on vehicles with automatic transmission  
5 Disconnect electrical connectors (3) from electronic ignition switch control module (N73) IMPORTANT Use aid for connection and disconnection if required  
6 Reinstall in opposite order IMPORTANTInstallation:  When replacing electronic ignition switch control module (N73) program according to programming instructions included with programming station.
