Disposing of shock absorber/ADS - OS32.32-P-0605-01A

Risk of injury when drilling assemblies or components containing gas (gas fill is not ignitable) 

Wear safety glasses Wear safety goggles and a face protection. 

  1. Remove boot (arrow - illustration shows the shock absorber/ADS on model 140).
  2. Drill shock absorber tube approx. 30 mm (dimension A) from the shock absorber base with a 5 mm drill (gas escapes).
  3. Drill shock absorber tube approx. 40 mm (dimension B) from the compression pot with a 5 mm drill (oil escapes).
  4. Drill shock absorber tube in the center, opposite the damper valve (dimension C) with a 5 mm drill (vent hole for oil).

  5. Press the piston rod in several times, thus pumping the shock absorber empty.

    Position the shock absorber upright and empty. The quantity of oil is 300-400 cm3 depending on the version.

    IMPORTANT Comply with regulations governing disposal of hydraulic oil

  6. Dispose of shock absorber (old part).
