Disconnect negative pole on battery |

Unscrew screw clips (2) |

Remove grille |

Cut off electric lead directly next to auxiliary fan preresistor (R15) |
 Installation:
The auxiliary fan preresistor (R15) is supplied together with the electric lead as a replacement part. Screw on new preresistor with screw (4). Route electric lead behind left headlamp and connect with 2-pin connector |

Unscrew screw (4) |

Remove auxiliary fan preresistor (R15) |

Reinstall in opposite order |

Check for proper function as follows ↓ |

| 10 |
Disconnect coolant temperature sensor connector (B11/4) and connect resistance decade to pins 1 and 2. Set resistance decade to 310. Ω |
