Removing and installing fuel rail with injectors (ME-SFI) - AR07.03-P-1451F

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation     
STOP Explosion hazard Observe accident prevention regulations!  
1 Release fuel pressure in fuel distributor with service valve See Diagnosis Manual, Engine, Volume 2, Index 3.2
SPECIAL TOOL

2 Partially remove cable duct on bulkhead Model 140 
For this purpose: ↓
Remove air collection housing, reinstall. See Repair instructions for automatic heater, model 140, Operation no. 83-140
 
3 Disconnect vacuum line from automatic transmission at intake manifold Model 140   
4 Remove mounting straps for all electrical leads leading over fuel distributor    
5 Disconnect vacuum hose from diaphragm pressure regulator    
6 Unscrew fuel supply (17/3) and return lines (17/2 IMPORTANT Catch fuel. Do not  unscrew fuel supply and return lines to check injection valves  
7 Disconnect connectors (arrow)    
8 Unscrew screws (16)    
9 Disconnect vacuum line from automatic transmission at intake manifold IMPORTANT Cover holes for injection valves. Replace O-rings, oil for installation  
10 Reinstall in opposite order    
INSPECT Testing     
11 Test injection valves (Y62) See Diagnosis Manual, Engine, Volume 2, Index 3.2  
12 Remove and install injection valves   AR07.03-P-6520F
