1.1	Disconnect ground lead on battery	Model 202 up to 30 June 93	AR54.10-P-0003A
1.2	Remove ignition key	Model 202 as of 1 July 93
2	Disconnect test connector/connector for airbag with emergency tensioning retractor (X11/13)	Model 202 up to 30 June 93
3	Remove cover (1) on automatic transmission selector lever
4	Open flap on stowage compartment in center console
5	Pry out selector lever cover (2)
6	Disconnect plug on selector lever cover (2)
7	Unscrew screws (3) for stowage compartment (4) below ashtray
8	Remove stowage compartment (4)
9	Unscrew screws (5) for stowage compartment/ashtray (6)
10	Remove stowage compartment/ashtray (6)
11	Pull off plug from stowage compartment/ashtray (6)
12	Disconnect connector on control module for emergency tensioning retractor with airbag (N2/2)
13	Unscrew screws	Installation:  Ensure that ground lead is connected to ground for control module (W26)	Fig 4
14	Remove control module for emergency tensioning retractor with airbag (N2/2)	Installation:  The arrow on the housing must point towards the front of the vehicle
15	Reinstall in opposite order
16.1	Test after replacement of the control module for airbag and emergency tensioning retractor	Vehicles up to 30.06.93 except (code 498) (code 491)	AR91.60-P-0622-01EA
