Removing and installing control module box - AR54.20-P-1257D

MODEL 202 as of 1.9.96, 208

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation    
1 Disconnect ground lead from battery   AR54.10-P-0003A 
2 Unscrew screws (1a) and remove cover (2) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that cover gasket is in good condition and properly seated
3.1 Remove control module blower (M2/2) upward Engine 112.920 in model 202
Engine 112.940 in model 208
 
4 Remove control modules from control module box (F23/1) IMPORTANT CFI control module (N3), traction system control module (N47), relay module (K40) AR54.20-P-1257-01D   
5 Loosen screw (6) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Install holder with screw (6) before installing screws (1b) in control module box  
6 Unscrew screws (4) for data link connector (X11/4)    
7 Unscrew screws (1b) and remove top section of control module box (F23/1) IMPORTANT Release connector outside of control module box by turning control module box to right  
8 Remove cover below instrument panel (passenger side)   AR68.10-P-1520E
9 Carefully pull connection leads for control modules out into passenger footwell or component compartment IMPORTANT While disconnecting lead passages to component compartment in control module box. Disconnect leads which are not separable, e.g. electronic transmission control (ETC) at foot plate in passenger footwell  
10 Remove nuts (3) and remove bottom section of control module box (F23/1) from component compartment IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that gasket for control module box (F23/1) is in good condition and is seated properly  
11 Reinstall in opposite order
